Sustainability
At Argo Defence Group, we view sustainability as a natural part of our operations. Our system solutions are not only designed to meet today’s requirements for safety and functionality – they are also built to be long-term, sustainable, and to contribute to societal value. We take ethical responsibility by always working in accordance with international laws, regulations, and guidelines. Our projects aim to increase security and reduce risks, both for defence organisations and civilian communities.
Environmental considerations are a central part of our work. Disarmament Solutions mobile destruction facilities for conventional arms and ammunition is an example of systems developed to simultaneously meet high standards for safety, environment, and efficiency – three areas that have traditionally not been integrated into a single solution.
To ensure quality, environmental responsibility and occupational health and safety, our subsidiaries operate according to established ISO standards including ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). This means that we can offer solutions that not only meet high demands but are also delivered with a systematic focus on responsibility and sustainability.

Argo Defence Group integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations across all parts of its operations. Within the environmental dimension, the Group focuses on strengthening environmental management, reducing waste and increasing the use of recycled and sustainable materials. Argo Defence Group aims to create a positive environmental impact not only through its own processes but also by promoting responsible practices among suppliers and partners.
In the social dimension, Argo Defence Group conducts comprehensive due diligence when entering partnerships, assessing workplace safety, employee conditions and historical performance. The company promotes diversity and inclusion, working towards improved gender balance across all organisational levels. Ensuring safe working environments and long-term employment stability is a core priority, supported by strong labour-union collaboration and active workforce engagement.
From a governance perspective, Argo Defence Group maintains strict compliance standards with zero tolerance for corruption and strong whistleblower protections. The Group emphasizes transparent governance, below-market executive compensation and continued reinvestment into the organisation. Over time, Argo Defence will introduce ESG-linked KPIs to measure progress and enhance accountability.
The Group has identified six UN Sustainable Development Goals where it can make the most meaningful contribution: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. These goals guide Argo Defence’s long-term ESG strategy and support its commitment to responsible and sustainable development.
